Kelley Small - Media and Agriculture Industry Specialist

Kelley has been closely associated with Efficient Evolutions for  quite a number of years. For over 25 years, Kelley had tremendous success through the start up, development and subsequent sale of niche publication titles. Many titles were purchased and others were start-ups developed to serve various industries, and later sold to larger media companies.


In 2001, Kelley received a Presidential Appointment to the United States Department of Agriculture, FSA and was later named Chairperson of the Massachusetts State Committee of FSA. While in this position, Kelley was responsible for the communication to local agencies and developing proper media for that information. This opportunity led to positions within the industry helping agricultural experts and companies develop their businesses and leverage opportunities for a profitable venture.

Dr. Jack Holder - Transportation, Waste Management and Public Services Specialist

Jack has decades of experience in managing, buying and selling companies. He has been part of the Efficient Evolutions team since 2006. Jack has a particular expertise in the areas of transportation, waste management, academia, and in managing public contracts. His work experience includes positions as Eastern Regional Vice President for Waste Management Inc,, and  Division Vice President for Yellow Freight Inc. He has extensive experience dealing with municipalities and public contracts.


Jack attended Indiana University on a football scholarship , and continued his education to earn an MBA and Doctorate. He has authored five books and more than 25 articles in professional journals and has taught at the university level in the USA, Europe, Asia, and Africa. He is the founder and President of Redloh International, an international consulting firm located in Maryland.

Michael Cruz - IT Industry Specialist

Michael's career in the software space led him to an executive position with Intgres, a leading database technology in the 80s and 90s. He also positioned Verity for a very successful public offering in 1995. Later, he led Documentum into a new area of sales - the financial markets - and changed the view of the company from a repository oriented technology to a document assembly provider for Wall Street firms. He has also led a Knowledge Management Implementation company that was named in the Top 10 by Knowledge Management Magazine. Most recently, he aided a management team turnaround, and then helped sell White Amber to Taleo, a leading SaaS provider.


Michael is an expert at assessing business technology. He has been personally involved in public offerings, private placements and mergers many times over his career.

Anja Bernier - President, Business Appraiser & Deal Coordinator

Anja Bernier, President and Managing Director of Efficient Evolutions, is an experienced company sale & acquisition advisor. She is also a Certified Business Appraiser (CBA) and Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA). 


Anja founded the company in 2005 after spending more than a decade working in Marketing, Strategic New Business Development , Corporate Strategy and Mergers & Acquisitions for some of the world's best known companies, such as Kraft Foods and Dannon (Danone). While reporting directly to the CEO of a privately owned, multi billion dollar European company, Anja had the sole responsibility for establishing a US subsidiary which involved intensive M&A work.


She is sought after as a speaker at national and international conferences, and as a guest lecturer on Mergers & Acquisitions, International Business, and Entrepreneurship at top business schools such as Boston University.
