Anja hat während ihrer beruflichen Karriere in 5 Ländern (USA, Deutschland, Niederlande, Schweiz und Australien) auf 3 verschiedenen Kontinenten gelebt und gearbeitet. Sie spricht fliessend Deutsch und Englisch und verfügt über einige Niederländisch Kenntnisse. Frühere Arbeitgeber waren z.B. Kraft Foods (Jacobs Kaffee), Danone und Müllermilch. In jüngerer Vergangenheit hatte sie die Alleinverantwortung für den Aufbau der US Niederlassung eines sehr bekannten, inhabergeführten deutschen Konsumgüterunternehmens.
